Mine data, working
as hard as the fleet.

BCM Mining Technology builds equipment health and telemetry platforms, live dashboards, enterprise GIS, data pipelines, automation, and AI monitoring for mining operations. Delivered in weeks, not quarters, by someone who has run mine control.

Built on the systems your mine already runs

Four capabilities. One person who connects them.

Most operations would split this work across a GIS developer, a data engineer, a BI developer, and an AI vendor. BCM delivers all four with the operational context of someone who has run mine dispatch, built custom Python programs, automated daily workflows, and trained the people who use the systems every shift.

01 · Automation

Automation & Alerting

Event-driven workflows that watch your operation and act: Teams and email alerts for extended delays, equipment down events, crusher feed interruptions, and production shortfalls.

  • Teams and email notification engines
  • End-of-shift and daily report automation
  • API integrations between site systems
02 · GIS & Mapping

GIS & Spatial Intelligence

Enterprise GIS stacks built on QGIS, GeoServer, and PostGIS with real-time equipment tracking, current orthomosaics, CAD overlays, and mobile field tools.

  • Live equipment tracking and web mine maps
  • Drone and orthomosaic processing pipelines
  • QField mobile mapping for field crews
03 · Data & Analytics

Dashboards & Data Warehousing

ETL pipelines that consolidate fleet, historian, survey, and GPS data into a governed SQL warehouse feeding dashboards that operations teams actually use.

  • Production vs. plan, payload and cycle analysis
  • Fleet health from decoded OEM telemetry
  • Delay breakdowns and equipment utilization
  • Automated shift, daily and month-to-date reporting
04 · Integration & AI

AI & Computer Vision

Industrial vision systems that monitor shovel teeth, shrouds, fragmentation, oversize material, and other field conditions that are hard to catch manually.

  • Missing tooth and wear detection
  • Fragmentation and oversize analysis
  • Edge inference on site infrastructure

Real screens from real shifts.

Not mockups. These systems run a producing operation today: a live fleet map over a fresh orthomosaic, a shift dashboard the control room keeps open all day, and alerts that land in Teams while there is still time to act, misrouted dumps caught the moment they happen, and meal-delay compliance summarized for supervisors at end of shift.

Live mine operations map with equipment positions, trails, and design overlays
Shift production dashboard: pace versus plan, queue analysis, loading tool performance, fleet up/down board, and per-operator production
Teams alerts from site automation: misrouted dump detections with truck, operator, payload and destination, and an end-of-shift meal delay compliance summary

You own your data. We own the code. Nobody rents.

Most mining software is a subscription with your data on the wrong side of the login. BCM works the other way around: systems are installed on your servers, licensed once, and everything they produce belongs to you.

Data

Your Data Never Leaves Site

Every byte of operational data, every database, and every report lives on your infrastructure and belongs unconditionally to your operation. Nothing is uploaded to a vendor cloud. Nothing is metered.

Licence

One Perpetual Licence

Each system includes a single perpetual site licence that never expires and is never per-seat. Unlimited users at the licensed site. If support ever ends, the software keeps running exactly as delivered.

Architecture

On-Site By Design

The full stack runs on a single on-premise server on commodity hardware. No cloud dependency, no phone-home licensing, and everything keeps working when the internet link does not.

Independence

Dealer & Vendor Independent

Integrates read-only with Cat MineStar, Wenco, Hexagon Jigsaw, and OEM telemetry without disturbing them, and without asking anyone permission to look at your own data.

Production systems, not slide decks.

Every platform below starts with a real operational problem and ends as a system your team can use on shift.

Equipment Health & VIMS Telemetry

Fleet-wide OEM telemetry (Cat VIMS classic and 3G) decoded into a site-owned database: classified health events, per-machine dashboards, event locations on the mine map, operator attribution, and full time-synchronized replay of any machine's gauges, gear, and position for any hour in its history.

Live Mine Map & Enterprise GIS

Live equipment positions, fresh orthomosaics, design overlays, restricted areas, and field data collection from the dispatch office to a tablet in the pit.

Typical build · 4–8 weeks Explore the platform →

Production Reporting & SQL Data Warehouse

Consolidated fleet, historian, survey, and GPS data feeding trusted reporting that replaces manual spreadsheet compilation.

Typical build · 4–8 weeks

AI Equipment Monitoring

Shovel tooth, shroud, and fragmentation monitoring integrated with dispatch alerting so problems are caught before they become production losses.

Deployment per shovel + monthly monitoring

Operational Alerting & Reporting Automation

Delay alerts, equipment state changes, crusher feed interruptions, and shift summaries pushed while there is still time to act.

Typical build · 2–3 weeks

Dashboard Sprints

Production, payload, utilization, delays, crusher feed, and operational KPI dashboards built directly on existing mine data.

Typical build · 2–3 weeks

Drone & Orthomosaic Pipeline

Upload, GeoTIFF processing, coordinate correction, raster optimization, and automatic publishing to GIS.

Typical build · 3–5 weeks

Misroute & Compliance Detection

FMS-based detection of wrong-destination dumps and route compliance with immediate alerts and shift reporting. Ore loss prevention that pays for itself with the first caught misroute.

Typical build · 2–4 weeks

Add-On Modules

Focused extensions built on the platforms above: haul road intelligence, tire life and TKPH monitoring, fuel and idle analytics, payload analytics, warranty evidence packages, incident investigation replay, delay intelligence, shift report automation, contractor fleet accountability, and water and pump telemetry.

Scoped per module · most 2–4 weeks

Assess. Build. Support.

1

Assess

A focused review of how your operation captures, moves, and uses data across fleet systems, historian data, GIS, reporting, and daily workflows. Half of any assessment fee is credited against a build engaged within six months.

How assessments work →
2

Build

Fixed-scope platform builds delivered in weeks. Dashboards, GIS, warehousing, automation, and AI monitoring deployed on practical site infrastructure.

3

Support

Monthly support keeps systems healthy, monitored, documented, and improving as the operation changes.

Built from the dispatch chair.

BCM Mining Technology was founded by Bernard Carl Mathew, a mining professional with twenty years in mining operations who has worked everywhere from the leach plant to running the fleet management system. Along the way that has meant surveying, drill and blast design, mine planning support, production reporting, dispatch, GIS, automation, and operational technology at a producing gold mine in Timmins, Ontario.

That operational background changes how technology gets built. Every dashboard, map, automation, and AI solution is designed around the challenges faced by dispatchers, supervisors, engineers, and operations teams every day. Rather than creating software that simply looks impressive in a demonstration, BCM develops practical systems that improve decision-making, eliminate manual work, increase operational visibility, and deliver measurable value in the field.

Technology is most valuable when it solves real operational problems. Every solution we develop begins with the workflow, not the software.
